Travel to the Unitarian Meetings

Parking on-site

There is ample parking on-site. The GA has negotiated a heavily-discounted rate of £8 for parking for the entire stay (note, this also includes the Ministers’ pre-conference). The parking permit can be purchased directly from the hotel desk by stating that you are attending the Unitarian Meetings.

Travelling Locally

From Birmingham International Airport, bear right onto Concorde Road, turn right onto Vanguard Road and then bear left onto Airport Way. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit then merge onto Coventry Road A45 (sign posted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, Coventry). Branch left (sign posted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, NEC), then at the roundabout take the first exit onto Pendigo Way (sign posted NEC). At the roundabout take the first exit into the car park of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

All hotel guests travelling from Birmingham Airport should use the free telephone at the airport meeting point (signposted with the Hilton logo) then take the mono rail to Birmingham International rail station where the shuttle bus will be able to collect passengers.

The journey takes approximately five minutes and our courtesy bus runs every 30 minutes, 24 hours per day

We would suggest that you use a SatNav system or a route planner, such as the AA or the RAC sites. The hotel postcode is B40 1PP.

 

By Train

The nearest station is Birmingham International.

Traveling from Birmingham International Train Station

By Courtesy Bus

From Birmingham International railway station, guests may use the free telephone to arrange a collection to the hotel, by courtesy bus. The bus stop is Bus Stop C and located next to the taxi rank in the bus depot. The journey to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel takes approximately 5 minutes. The 24-hour service runs at 30-minute intervals.

Walking

Alternatively, you can choose to walk from the station, through the NEC. The walk takes about ten minutes and the route is shown on this local map.

 

Traveling from Birmingham New Street train station

By Train

From Birmingham New Street Station, take the train to Birmingham International Station. The journey normally takes around 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day. At Birmingham International Station, use the courtesy telephone to ask for the hotel bus to pick you up. The journey from Birmingham International Station to Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel takes 5 minutes by courtesy bus. The 24-hour service runs every 30 minutes. Guests can use the free telephone in the airport to call the hotel and ask for the bus to collect them.

By Plane

The nearest Airport is Birmingham Airport. Depending on where you are flying from, you may wish to fly to another airport, such as Manchester or one of the London airports, and switch to trains from there.

Traveling from Birmingham Airport
