Motions are a key way for the General Assembly to decide on important issues of the day. Motions are debated before the Assembly and voted on by members. If passed, they become Resolutions.

Background papers are provided by those submitting the motions, to give delegates more information about the subject.

To see current motions and background papers, when available, please go back to the menu tab and select these options.

If you are thinking of submitting a motion, please see the motions deadline and guidance sections on the menu tab.
